03 – Normal and Abnormal Breathing

Normal and abnormal breathing are defined and explained. Abnormal breathing is a medical emergency, and law enforcement officers must not discount a person’s claim that (s)he cannot breathe. Re-positioning a person for better ventilation and calming him or her may save a life. A person who suddenly becomes compliant may be dying.
